Meet the Governors
The Governors have recently completed a "Shaping Governance" session to outline Governance Priorities with a focus on Curriculum.
Sarah BarlowGovernor (Head of School-Adelaide School)
Sarah achieved her degree in English and primary teaching at Lancaster university and has since completed her Masters in Education at Chester. She has also completed qualifications related to Attachment Difficulties and Mental Health. She also has her NPQH.
Sarah is the head of another SEMH school in the Trust and therefore has experience in this sector of education. Her experience is predominately education based but she has some experience related to governing bodies and chairing meeting as she was recently country secretary for Cheshire Forest Girlguiding UK for a period of 5 years.
Megan RaineyGovernor (Parent & Law Student)
Megan is currently studying for the LLB Law Honours degree at Liverpool Hope University, with a post diploma in Humanities to Law, History and Criminology. Megan is a mother and wants to use her experience to build relationships with pupils and help to make decisions for the school. Megan hopes to inspire pupils to think about their future, gain skills and reach the goals they are capable of achieving. Megan has a wide range of skills to bring to the governing body.

I have over 25 years’ experience within the field of education, initially as a primary school teacher in Liverpool and overseas in Valencia, Spain and in West Germany. On my return to the UK I was as a Lead Advisory Teacher working with children and young people with a range of Social Emotional and Mental Health issues
Having completed an MA in SEND and Inclusion I have been employed at Edge Hill University since January 2011, initially as a Senior Lecturer and currently I am Head of Partnership Development. I am an External Examiner at Birmingham City University, a school Governor at a primary school in Skelmersdale and a Trustee at a Multi Academy Trust.
I am passionate about inclusion and social justice and believe with the right educational environment all children can achieve.
